Okay I think this has been asked about before but I couldn't find anything in the memories. So sorry if I annoy anyone!! I just either a)need to delay my period by several days or b) start it earlier by several days. I'm going out to the cabin with some friends for Canada Day long weekend.(and with work lately this is looking like my only vacation this summer) Leaving the evening of the last day of June and coming back on July third. My period for May started on the 28 of May and it lasts the full seven days, usually leaving me feeling crampy and gross the first day, and bleeding heavily the first couple of days, which is why I would love to not have to worry about my period when I'm getting drunk and swimming around, possibly with some cute guys. So any help or advice would be much appreciated!

are you on birth control?

if you were on the pill, and not having sex at the moment, i'd just say quit the pack early, but you're not, so i don't really have any advice.

try out a http://www.thedivacup.com, or instead. they tend to make my periods less awful.

Yeah, I was going to say "that's easy--skip the placebo pills and start your next pack," but if you aren't using birth control then you're pretty much at nature's mercy.

Love the handle "raspberry_swyrl" though!

Won't work with all kinds of the pill, though. If it's a monophasic formula (same dosage of meds through the month, except for placebo week) then it works much better; if it's a triphasic or multiphasic one (like orthotrycyclen) then it is liable to still have breakthrough bleeding, or just not work.

Sorry, my spelling's off, I think. But you get the gist :)
