I just started Ortha Tri Cyclin Low 3 days ago. Has anyone had any of the side effects that are listed happen to them on this specific pill?

Also, How is it working for you? And do you use any other sort of protection?

I give you the not patented but should be hair-dye analogy:

birth control is like hair dye. the exact same shade of brown will look very different on you than it looks on me. that is to say, birth control has lots of possible side effects, but they're totally different from woman to woman, and you can't really judge what your experience is going to be like based on what someone elses was like.

make sense?

I'm on my second pack, and it's great. I'm on it to lighten my period, since according to my gyno, I really shouldn't have it for 7 days, as well as to kill my killer cramps.
I DO recomend going to GNC and getting a bottle of Lecithin. Lecithin is a supplement usually used to aid weightloss, but if you take at least 2-4 tablets a day, the side effects of the pill are waaaayyyyyyy less. Lehin is actually good for you, it emulsifies fat, and cleanses the liver. The only side effects I was really annoyed by was the breakthrough bleeding after my period was done last month. It's just your body adjusting to the horomes and such, but as mentioned above, the pill works differently for each woman :) My breast feel fuller, sometimes I'll get a little too emotional to the point where my boyfriend calls me "hormones" lol. I think the most I've gained is 5 pounds, but I've lost them this week, and sometimes I'll get an occasional headache. ALWAYS take your pill with something in your stomach if not the nausea will be about 10x worse. My nausea hasn't been too bad, but I've heard horror stories.
good luck!

I tried Ortho Tri Cyclen and...I don't know how old you are, but...I was only 30 and Tricyclen made me perimenopausal! It was horrible! Night sweats and hot flashes, mood swings, carb cravings, irregular periods despite being on the pill. I eventually realized it wasn't me it was the ortho and quit. Then when I told my friend who is a nurse, she told me that her 40 year old coworker went on Ortho Tri Cyclen and it pushed her INTO actual menopause. She said, stay away from that stuff!
