Colour?

I got my period again this morning, only this time it wasnt the bright red it always starts off with- it's more of a browny dischargey colour. Is there any reason why this would be happening? Something to be worried about?

mine starts out kind of brown on occasion. doesn't seem to mean anything. the darker the blood is, the longer it's been settling, or so i've heard.

ya know, i get that, too. before and after my period. its always been like that though. sometimes its more than other times. kind of more annoying than anything ya know?

It's just old blood.
Think of it like this... When you have a cut, lets say, a cut from shaving, you put a bandage over it, right? And the blood soaks onto the cotton. When the blood is dried up, you see just dry, brown stuff on the cotton. The same thing happens in your menstrual blood sometimes, too, except its more mucusy in there, and can come out with your period. Hope that halps!
