Eco-friendly stuff
Jun. 27th, 2005 03:30 pmHey ladies.
It's been a while since I posted last. I was on the progesterone-only bc pill and only had a period every few months (talk about weird! I'd constantly be paranoid...I should've bought stock in pregnancy tests). I've stopped taking them for a variety of reasons and am trying to get my cycles to even out. I've never really had a normal cycle. A naturopathic physician told me that it sounded like I have a hormonal imbalance, but I haven't had the money to actually get the tests done so I'm not sure.
Anyway, I'm rambling. To get to my point:
In my quest to make my home more eco-friendly, I'm looking for ways to eliminate waste. When my period started a couple of days ago and I discovered I was out of supplies, I looked into alternative menstrual supplies. I'm currently trying out Gladrags. Anyone else have any ideas? They seem to be doing OK right now, except that I made a mistake by buying only one box instead of a multi-pack. I'm also considering cutting up some of my daughter's old cloth diapers to use as inserts instead of purchasing more...I think it might work.
Any suggestions appreciated!
