My IUD

I went in today to get my IUD which I had to pick up at the pharmacy yesterday. Unfortunately my period just ended (the cervix opens a bit when on the rag) but it was still open enough that the doctor had not problems with the incertion. The problem that dragged is that my appointement was at 10.30a but they had to do an emergency removal or something so at 11.30 a murse came out and told me that the tools had to be sterilized and cooled and could I come back at noon. That was fine. My ride that was supposed to pick me up at 11.30 didn't get there until a quarter after 12 so there was no rush. Took 15 minutes for the incertion which felt incredible wierd.
Still does. I can feel it. I know that it will take a while for my body to accept it there. It is like a new piercing. No biggy. As long as I don't shove it back out then all is good.
I am a happy girl!

did it hurt at all?

Hard to say. I have a really high pain threshold so I felt discomfort and there is some cramping because my uterus is sitting there going "what the...hey! There is something in there! I...what...uhg!" and I have to remind it that I did this on purpose so that it won't reject it. I have heard from others that it was painful but for me it wasn't. There is a pinch when they go through the cerxin and I did flich when the IUD was put into place. It was like really warm pressure all the sudden, but didn't hurt. Just feels odd. Right now I think that my body has gotten used to it because I don't feel it anymore. Tomarrow will be the real test because I will have lots to do and being more active means shifting more.

good girl on the IUD. by the time you come home i will be in a diff location so call me when you get back to cali. (heehee i am so close to the bel its not funny!!!)
