okay. so. something really stupid happened this afternoon and i'm scared. i
had sex with a tampon in. please don't yell at me. i forgot it was there and
just got caught up in everything. (i feel like i should be apologising for my
stupidity)..so...anyway, its obviously been pushed up further. where could it
have gone? and is this really really bad (i know its not good...but how bad is
it?)? and has anyone done this before? AND what should i do? (possibly short of
seeing a doctor asap.)

Well, the tampon can't go anywhere beyond your cervix, so it's up there somewhere...I would start fishing around for the string or the tampon itself and just try to wiggle it out of there.

squat down and try to reach around inside yourself while pressing your vaginal muscles together and down. there's not really very far it could go, fortunately.

if you still can't get it out, go get your doc to remove it. they see this type of stuff all the time :)

This happened to me once... Luckily I had a very understanding partner, and he got it out for me, since I had trouble reaching it... Just try to relax, though, and you should be able to get it yourself.

I did that once, and I used ky to make it a little easier to get it...if that helps at all...

just like to post that i'm sexed tampon freee now...i think gravity came into play as the morning after i tried again to find it and it was really close to my opening. so i suppose the message for anyone else with this problem (along with reading above comments) is to keep trying... :)

It's not far. Your cervix is (I believe) 8 or 9 inches up there, so it's really not bad. Try laying down on your back and getting it out.
