I've asked this before, but didn't get a real response :)

Is it "normal" to bleed mostly fresh blood? I get a very light brown discharge maybe the day before, and perhaps for the first day it will be slightly darker blood, but after that it's all fresh. It first happened when I started on the Pill, as I know you have "artificial" periods, but I've been off the pill for over a year now.

I asked my chinese medicine DR last weekend but she just said "ahh I see" and carried on sticking needles in my spine...very helpful.


My periods over a week late, I must be thinking about it because I miss it so much (yeah right).

i think it's normal... i havent heard otherwise. mine is sometimes fresh, sometimes settled a bit. i think either way is normal, really.

Ha, no I just got someone telling me they recognised me. Thanks, I've just never had that happen before the pill, with no clots and stuff :-\

I've been off the pill for 6 months now and all of my periods at the beginning started with two or three days of the brown spotting (old blood). Now it's only a day. I hope it will go away because it's annoying. I'd rather just get it over with!

Yeah mine used to be for a few days but gradually it's gone down to one too, it's so icky, but I just think of it as a friendly warning for whats coming haha <3
