Hi, I'm a newbie! My name is Jessica. I'm hoping someone can help me with this.

The last time i had a period was June 4th. So by early July, I went to see my doctor. They made me take a pregnancy test, turned out negative.
I had a regular routine done. He told me if i dont hear from them then
everything is fine.
Well its been couple weeks since then, so nothing
is wrong with me. But before he left, he told me I probably just have
Amenorrea (spelling?) I was just wondering if anyone can give more info
about this, what causes this and how i can get my somewhat regular cycle (usually are 30-31 days) back (this has never happened to me before). My boyfriend and I are TTC.

Also i've been taking my temps, and so far it has stayed risen above 98 degrees, only once or twice it has fallen to 97.6 or 97.8 what does this mean?

thankyou in advance to anyone who replies to this!! (:

Can I ask why you are taking your temps?
Your temps will naturally go up and down, they will not stay at the same temp every time.

It might be a good idea for you to read something like Taking charge of your fertility, if you do not understand what your temps indicate there is little point taking them.

If your temp stays high for 18+ days it is a sign of pregnancy, but you would have to be keeping notce of your temp and using something like FAM to know for sure that this is what is happening.

Amenorrhea (http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSIHW000/9339/9443.html)

All amenorrhea means is the absence of a period. There are lots of different reasons, and the solution is going to depend on the cause. Your doctor didn't give you any indication of what the problem might be or suggest you see a specialist or put you on any medication or give you any pamphlets to read or anything? It seems very strange that s/he'd just give you a diagnosis and nothing else.

Also I think you're confusing taking your temperature with charting your basal body temperature (http://my.webmd.com/content/article/4/1680_51216.htm), which can help predict ovulation. But if you're in a state of ammenorrhea, it's really not going to tell you anything.

I'd go back to your doctor's office and let her or him know that you don't entirely understand what s/he told you the first time.

...and if s/he won't give you a better answer, find another doctor. your health and your body are things you need to know about, not "don't worry" about. y'know?

and what does TTC mean?

Correct. A good doctor will take the time to answer your questions.

TTC = Trying to Conceive.

My health teacher told me that your body's temperature is slightly higher when ovulation is occuring. (But it's not always the case, and you could be suffering from something instead.)
