M'kay, I have two question for y'all tonight.

1) Does anyone else (who wears pads) get that burning sensation at the end of your period? It's like a crotch-diaper rash sorta thing. Hehe. I get it everytime I'm ending my period, and was just curious...

2) I'm on my last pack of BC pills (ortho tricyclen). Do I have to call and make an appointment at Planned Parenthood to get some more, or can I just go down there randomly and pick up some more?

1) I think I know what you mean...yes, I do get something like that at the end, sometimes, but it's brief. Any burning could be an infection of some sort-you should have it checked out-PP can do it.
2) Yes, PP around here does not require an appointment to pick up pills-if you've already gotten them there before. :)

1) I know exactly your pain :( I not only get it at the end, but throughout the whole thing :( I guess its kinda like a sensitive area where we shouldn;t have "plastic" all the time :(

yes, i get that burning, too. i find that some baby oil can help. Johnson and Johnson have this cool baby oil GEL that doesnt get all over if you use it down there. if you slather it on before you go to bed, you should be all right by morning. i get it about half way through my period and its just the plastice rubbing sensitive skin. good luck with it!

...although the fact that it's linked to your cycle doesnt mean it's *not* an infection either, just to play devil's advocate; my mother sometimes gets for quite a few months in a row yeast infections at the end of her period. *shrug* just make sure you know your body enough to not overlook something like that (as if i should talk.. to my *knowledge* i've never had a yeast or vaginal infection, but i wonder if that's becuase i don't know what to look for.. people tell me "if you had one, you'd *know,* but i'm not so sure i trust that...)

I used to get that whole bit when I used pads... it was a very large part of the reason I switched to tampons.
-amy, who can't sing enough praises about the Keeper...

Might be an allergy.

Used to get that until I figured out that I was allergic to the pads I was using, and I've had no problems since I switched. It's a sensitive area so if you're even mildly allergic to one of the components, you're going to know about it. It's worth shopping around and trying some different brands, unbleached if possible.
