Im late this month...by about 3 or 4 days and was beginning to get worried but all is well now. Im assuming it was from the stress of my bf and I breaking up...after 2 years =*(.

Alright, anyways, this week isn't the greatest so far....but hey, it could be worse, right?

i was wondering if anyone could help me...

I am not in this community, but I was wondering if you guys could try to help me out. I started on the Depo Provera shot around August 15th or so, and was told that my periods could be lighter or heavier, longer or shorter, etc, as a result of the shot. I was also told that there may be spotting between my periods, and that my periods could totally stop after perhaps a year. As a result, I was expecting my period in Sept., but instead got spotting (lasting for about 7 days) starting maybe a few days before i was expecting my period to begin. Once the spotting stopped, I expected my period to come, but it didn't. I called Planned Parenthood, where I had been given the shot, and asked if it was normal to miss a period the first month and to INSTEAD have spotting, not in addition to my period. The guy who answered the phone didn't seem to understand me and said that spotting is perfectly normal. I stressed to him that i knew spotting was normal, but i didn't think that it was possible that it would completely take the place of my period. He put me on hold and said he'd ask, then got back on the phone and said it was fine. I am still wary, and am planning on calling back, but I just figured I'd ask if anyone here has had the same problem, or knows if this is normal with Depo Provera use. Any help would be much appreciated. :)
