Hey im new to this community..
I kind of have a stupid question.

I was suppose to get my period about a week and a half ago and it hasn't come. I havent had sex and i can assure you my vagina hasn't come close to a penis. Actually, a few weeks ago, me and myboyfrinred were "rubbing" eaachoter but i was wearing jeans and so was he so i dont know how this ccan affect anything. I aslo recently gave my boyfriend a blow job but i know this cant make me pregnant. Can anyone ezplain what is happening? I;m getting kind of worried..

ps- my period has been normal for the past year or so

comments would be greatly appreciated!

Could be stress, could be weird hormones, could be a fluke, could be immaculate conception.. :)

Give it another couple of days, then go see a gyno. They can give you meds to induce it.

My salon has a huge 6 or 7 foot tall painting of the picture in your LJ icon.... it's so beautiful in full-length.

I really have nothing constructive to add to your comment, so have a lovely day.

It's perfectly normal to skip a period occasionally. Nothing at all to worry about. Even if you're usually regular as clockwork, missing one is nohing to be concerned about unless it's possible you could be pregnant. You seem certain that's not possible, so don't worry. You might want to get a home test just for your own peace of mind if it's stressing you out.

A missed period can be caused by stress, a change in diet, environmental factors or just a hormonal "hiccup". (Not just stress, actually - we think of "stress" as a negative thing but positive things like falling in love can affect your hormones, too: that's why so many girls skip or are late after they hhave sex for the first time.) If you're worried or if you have other symptoms, then get checked out. Otherwise my advice is just wait until next month. If you skip again, then see a doctor just in case.
