Here's a question for you. Sorry if it grosses anyone out. My boyfriend last night could tell that I was going to start today just by the way I smelled down there. I had no idea about that. Does that happen to anyone else. Kind of weird how he can predict better than me when I'm going to start my period.

lol.. i don't know anything about smell, but on a somewhat-related topic, my ex (who was also my best friend and is still a good friend, and so perceptive that i teased him that he was really female) could tell where in my cycle i was just by watching my moods--he'd be really nice and all, and then ask out of the blue "by the way, are you PMSing? or are you actually angry at me?" and i'd snap something and leave.. and then count days, and come back and say "yes, sorry.. " and he'd say "i thought so, sorry to bring it up" and give me a hug :) but that's a somewhat different way of telling. and i'm rambling now. so the answer is, i don't know anything about that.

I have also heard this, though usually related to ovulation, rather than menstruation. Apparently, we womenfolk will taste sweeter (and that is the word that the male in question used to describe it) during ovulation. But thickness, amount of liquid (and I'd guess, odour) change a few times during the month, so you're not a freak or anything.

My hubby just quietly tracks my period. It surprised the hell out of me the first time he did it. I was mumbling something about when my period was going to start and trying to figure it out and he just turned and said "Yeah, it will be mid-week next week, won't it"?

Guess we should give the boys a little more credit for sensitivity. Either that or instinct for self-preservation.

my boyfriend can usually predict it by whether or not i have an orgasm. i hope that isn't too much information, but the few days before my period...i won't orgasm (i wonder why?), so he can tell that way.
i'm on birth control too, so he knows my schedule pretty well as it is.

I just had a boyfriend that knew my cycle down to the part of the day. Not the day but like morning, afternoon, evening type thing. I didn't even know it that well. But then I went on Ortho and now I know.
