is there a color/texture/odor difference between menstrual blood and implantation/breakthrough bleeding blood? is there a time difference on how long implantation bleeding will last, as opposed to a regular period? is implantation bleeding enough to soak through tampons/pads? i was wondering, because i've read in some places that sometimes, implantation bleeding could occur around the same time a period would.

Generally implantation bleeding is brownish/pinkish and only lasts for a couple of days. If you're soaking tampons it's almost definitely NOT implantation bleeding--way too heavy!

what is implantation bleeding? ive never heard of this before! is this bleeding when you are impregnated? if so, does everyone get it? i have several female friends who got a lighter period for the first few months of pregnancy. is this it?
