I know this isn't the amipregnant community. This -could- be related to that community, but I feel it's more period-related.

My period has been coming between the first and third of the month for the last year (since my miscarriage in July 04)

This month she's a no-show. I do have unprotected sex as my partner and I are secure but not quite 'trying', and 90% of the time he pulls out and goes elsewhere. ehm.

Anyhow, the beginning of this month was also stressful, with a move from Denver, CO to Louisville, Ky. We drove.

I've taken a pregnancy test and do feel slightly odd but the test was negative (which it could of course just be too early..)

So I'm only 10ish days late but after PCOS during high school and a missing period for 2 years, I'm somewhat concerned. I was relieved to be "regular" again for a while..but..

Could stress do it? Smoking? Drinking? Elevation changes? Air quality? I mean..c'mon. :( Should I just see a dr?

Thanks gals (and guys?). :-*

Stress can definitely do it. It can continue to stop it coming, as well - if you worry about it not coming, you're more stressed and it still won't come. A big change - like moving! - can mess your internal clock up too.

As for whether or not you see a doctor, I think it's up to you - you might feel that you're happy with it being down to stress just this one time and if it happens again you'll see a doctor, or you might be worried enough that you go. No one but you will know what you think about that :) If you don't go to a doctor, I'd suggest taking another pregnancy test in a week or so just to be sure - cause as you said, it might be a bit early.

sounds like the stress to me, but i am no gyno:) the test should have been accurate as far as timeline goes- shouldn't have been too early. of course there's always a small error risk. i am not sure when you need to seek medical advice. i guess make an appt. if you can afford it & if it's worrying your mind- you'll feel better.

i'm no help at all, am i? lol

my test was negative too, but i'm secretly hoping i don't get my period this week. got the baby fever in a bad, bad way.

welcome home & good luck:)

Stress can definately delay your period. And the more you worry about it NOT coming the later it will be! lol If it doesn't come in another week or so I'd re-take the pregnancy test or get to a doctor.

Don't worry too hard, dear, moving ALWAYS throws me off by a month at least. This move in particular (NY to AZ!) Had me FIFTY TWO DAYS LATE. It was crazy.

if you're really worried, just get another pregnancy test.
