I'm having problems with my new divacup. I can't seem to get it to seal properly, so I leak anyway. I'm not sure if this is common with divacups etc. Any tips??

Did you try to twist it or pull down on it a little? That seems to help. You should check out the menstrual_cups community. They may have a good section in their memories about that or post this question there. They are really helpful.

yeah, i tend to dent in one side, kind of push all the air out of it, then push it up in my vaginal canal an inch or so...then slowwwwly pull down till i feel a *little* bit of suction. then i tighten and relax my PC muscles a few times to ensure it won't be sliding around.

i hope that makes some sense...it works for me, but your puss might be different. when i first got mine, i messed around w/it when i wasn't on my period to get the suction and position down.

make sure to give 'er a good old twisteroo when you put it in. I notoriously forget, and it gets leaky. I try to aim up and towards my lower back, which seems to work. But I am one of the 20% of the population who has her cervix tilted the opposite way or something...

When I fold it to put it in, once it gets in there, make sure it pops back to open-cup shape....

How long have you had it? I'm had mine for about 2 months (used it for about 1 1/2 cycles) and I still have a few problems with it. I think that it just comes with practice, and getting used to using it correctly :)
