So, now that I'm on my period and not flipping the fuck out about possibly being pregnant, I'm thinking about different kinds of birth control. I went off hormonal BC because it messed with my head (but oh how I miss the regular, nice, non-crampy periods), and was looking at the sponge. Have any of you lovely ladies tried it? What are your experiences? I had a diaphragm once, and man that blew. SO MESSY.

Also, I drove 20 miles out to BFE Southeast Pennsylvania on a Divacup quest, and the place that sold them WASN'T THERE ANYMORE! I cried.

IUD ftw! def check out IUD divas. if you can handle one week of uncomfortable-ness and a few weeks of spotting, you're then the proud recipient of 5-10 years (depending on model) of virtually maintenance free birth control!

First I would like to ask is what was the problem with the diaphram? Depending on your problem might mean that a menstral cup won't work.
The second is to think about the non-hormonal IUD. That is what I decided on because sometimes spur of the moment sex with your boy is a lot of fun, but wearing a diaphram or sponge in anticipation is not. But I have been experiancing incredible pain all month long. I am not a typical case as you will see when you read iud_divas.

remember that there is more than one type of hormonal birth control - you might need to experiment with Pill brands.
