I was diagnosed with a horrible yeast infection this past week. My period is also late, and it hasn't been late in probably 5 years. The doctor prescribed me some cream to cure the infection and it seems to be helping, but my period still hasn't come. I have never had intercourse, but have recently given and received oral.

Does anyone know what could be going on?

i'm thinking that maybe your body decided not to ovulate when it was supposed to due to the yeast infection. I read that sperm can't survive in yeasty conditions, and thus maybe your body was aware of that and decided not to ovulate on time this month.

I just had a yeast infection also, and I have a feeling my period is going to be a bit late also.

I'm pretty sure that the infection and the medication you're curing it with could be freaking your body out a little bit. I know this is nothing other people haven't already said, but consider this another vote for "don't worry about it - it'll come"
