I think I'm gonna have to go on bc after all... *sigh* now, can you guys give me the rough idea of bad side effects? depression, increased appetite? etc?

It really depends on your individual body chemistry and the type of pill you use - I know some people who take it without any side effects at all, and others who went through hell and had to switch types three or four times. It's really just a matter of trial and error, unfortunately.

all it gave me was mild nausea for the first couple months in the mornings.. and some people can even avoid that by switching when they take the pill, taking it with food, etc... (on the other hand, i have heard horror stories from some people.. apparently sometimes you just have to keep switching formulae till you find one that works or give up in disgust :)... and also, i'm prone to depression but b/c didn't trigger it for me. so it's pretty unlikely that you'll get *all* of the side effects, and you may end up with fewer than you thought, is the bottom line i guess...
