I've been having trouble emptying my bowels for the past 3-4 months, when my DR did a rectal examination she said the cause was a "tilted-bulky uterus" (the bulkyness being the main cause)...I've googled and all the results for that symptom point at uterine cancer..I'm freaking out even though my DR says not to worry about it..has anyone else been told they have a bulky uterus? What causes this?

Eating bulk foods. *rim shot!*

Sorry, that was the worst joke ever.

I have no idea but your doc would probably know if you remember to ask.

i have a tilted uterus which is apparently fairly common, but unfortunately, i've never heard of a bulky one before. I'd suggest asking your doctor the cause... good luck!

if it gets worse when you menstruate, and you have bad cramps, you should talk to your doctor.

hmmm... has she had you screened for cysts, fibroids or tumors?
the thing i am thinking of is endometriosis, which can cause uterine tissue to travel outside the uterus. it's common to have it in the bowels which causes painful cramps and bowel movements. it's a common disease which is often missed by doctors. the way to get a diagnosis would be a laparoscapy. when i had a flare-up of it i stopped eating dairy products and my cramps went away.
