So, I have a question.

I'm currently in high school, and still developing in the chest area. When I was transitioning from middle school to my freshman year, I remember wanting to have a larger cup size. Well, now that I'm in my junior year, I unfortunately received my wish. I actually would prefer being smaller, and people think this is weird considering I'm a perfect B34. I grew very rapidly, and this has caused me to have these reddish, purple lines around my nipples. I'm almost positive that they're stretch marks, and I'm wondering if these ever go away.

Is there anything that can help them fade, at least?

I used to be completely okay with my breasts and this is causing me to have a little insecurity, especially in the lower cut bikini top area.

I've heard good things about cocoa butter on stretch marks, but I've never tried it myself.

I've also heard good things about cocoa butter.. Palmer's has a bunch of different formulas you can find at drug stores or Babies "R" Us. Mederma and Neosporin are also supposed to be good but you might want to check before using anything on such a delicate area of your body.

The sound just like stretchmarks.

Theres nothing you can do to make them go away, except wait. They are caused by the breakdown in the elasticity of your skin. Eventually, they'll fade to a silvery white.

I always thought that they were kind of pretty, myself...

the thing with stretch marks is, the best, and really only way to minimize them is while theyre forming. stretch marks do fade on their own after a while, but they dont really completely go away.

I could be wrong, but the cocoa butter, shea butter, etc stuff only work while the marks are forming, to make them form less, if that makes sense. they moisturize your skin and thereby make it more elastic, and less given to stretch marks.

I use Scarzone on my acne scars and a burn scar I have on my arm, it seems to be working fine.

vitamin e is what I use on anything scar-like. If it makes you feel better, when I was about your age, I had the same thing going on, and now they've faded to white and are not very noticeable at all.

Also, I saw that Julianne Moore (I think it was her) has them on her breasts, and was wearing a low-cut top at an awards show. Yay for celebrities being normal!

don't feel self-conscious! i'm sure they are beautiful. i think stretch marks are so cool (maybe because i don't have any myself) but i am in the medical business and i can tell you TONS of people have them, more guys than girls actually because they have bigger growth spurts (until girls get pregnant). i'd say the majority of people have them some time in their lives so it's really not worth bothering about, especially since they can be so pretty - do yours have that rainbow sheen to them? it's awesome!

vitamin e helps reduce scaring, but stretch marks are a bit different than scars. it's still worth a try though. you can use the little capsules filled with oil or there is vitamin e cream which is a great moisturizer in general.

i had stretch marks on my breasts too, also on my hips. the ones on my breasts are hardly noticeable any more. i used to be really self concious about the ones on my hips... but then i discovered that my boyfriend has them on his hips too! since he's the only one who sees me naked there's no reason to feel embarassed.

but yeah... stretch marks are something that pretty much everyone gets at one point or another. don't worry about them :)

I think the majority of people (let alone females) have stretch marks. My ex had them on his shoulders and upper back because he grew too fast. I have them on my breasts, and my hips and you can barely even see them anymore. To the few that have seen me naked, they didn't even realize that I had had them. Until I brought it up, and they literally had to search for them. Over the years, they will definitely fade more and more.

Don't worry about them :)
