Oct. 29th, 2005 12:39 amThis is something that I just realized... and don't get me wrong I'm totally into the womanhood and bleeding is good idea. This is just a thought. When one is bleeding they are at the full mercy of their own body. You can't schedule it, you can't plan it and there's no way in hell you can control it or even yourself before, during and maybe even after. Now my thought is that boys have no concept of this. None. My first guess at most males argument will be that during puberty the impromtu erections they suffer... but this lasts for a year maybe? This is once a week every month for most of my life (not counting the fun of when it starts, puberty or when it ends, menopause), not one year.. not even close to that. Of course lets not even get into the nine months that one has to sucumb to ones body while pregnant.

Date: 2005-10-29 07:09 am (UTC)Perhaps it is why my cycle keeps me grounded. When everything else in my life spins out of my control- my menstrual cycle, my body's natural rythym has the ability to jolt me back to the ground and connect me to the rest of life on Earth :-)
