Have any of you had the Monarc Subfascial Hammock procedure? My mom just had it done, and she's scooting around cleaning and doing stuff when I think she should be resting. She's like that... The directions say to rest and don't have sex, lift heavy things, or do intense exercise. I think she just underwent SURGERY and "rest" means chill out, lay down, and watch tv. Instead, she's making use of her time off from work to do laundry and get housecleaning done.

What's your experience? Any personal accounts of this operation would be very helpful. Thanks!

Edit: This is the surgery done to fix your pee-tube-squeezer that gets damaged in childbirth, so that you squirt when you laugh or sneeze or cough brushing your tongue. Since I assume most of you are younger, maybe your mothers or older friends have had this done? Anybody?

I really have no idea... although I would say that any surgery is going to take longer to heal if you don't let your body rest. However, some people just aren't good at resting so she may be ok with facing a little longer recovery time. Maybe just sit her down and tell her that you don't want to see her heal wrong because she had an uncontrollable urge to dust.
