What are peoples experiences here with breakthrough bleeding? I just started ortho tri-cyclen lo. I've been completely off hormonal birth control for four years and I"m only going to be on it for a month till I get my IUD inserted. I started the pack a week after the end of my period and I've been bleeding for the past two days, I guess about a medium flow for what I usually get as a period. The nurse practitioner warned me that I should expect some since I was starting so late. How long should I expect this to go on? I can find next to nothing about it online.

When I had it (first time on hormonal bc) it lasted almost the whole month but it was usually REALLY light spotting.
