This may not be related but any help would be great.I have been on OTC-lo for alomst a year now. Slowly I have seen a decrease in my sex drive and natural lubercation, untill now where my sex drive is gone! Has anyone else had this problem with OTC-lo? And if you swtiched to another pill, what did you switch to and did it help? Any thoughts would be helpfull.

This has happened to me with many pills. Through personal experience I've learned that to find the right pill you have to go through many. This, of course, can be very annoying.

Alesse seemed to be the only pill that didn't have this effect on me, however, it did cause other problems (bleeding for two month straight) that forced me to have to change again.

oh the joys of hormonal BC. :)

i was on OTC and OTC-lo for a combined total of 8 years. i had no sex drive towards the end. every time i got in a new relationship, i'd be excited b/c i'd think i'd get it back, but without fail, a few months in, the lube would go bye bye, and i was never able to orgasm, even when taking care of myself.

anyway, i got off the pill in september. got a mirena IUD and my sex drive is mostly back to normal now. at least, i get wet when i'm supposed to, heheh.

i never tried switching pills...i just got rid of them. you might try a new one for a couple months and see.

might want to post this on a birth control community, because we deal mostly with menstruation.

ah yes, that seems to be the way the bc community has become. I, myself, left that community because of the dictator-style condescending moderating.

It seems as though what bcps help one persons situation may do the exact opposite on others. I would ask your doc if he/she recomends anything for that particular ailment and go from there. Your doctor may have experiences with many women having the same complaints and direct you towards what worked for them.
