Period tracking

I checked the rules, and I don't think this is against the rules, but if it is, I apologize, and feel free to delete this.
I just wanted to share a website I found about a year and a half ago, to help you track your periods. It's called My Monthly Cycles. It has a calendar where you can track the days of your period, whether your flow is heavy, moderate or light, what color it is, etc. You can set up email reminders to remind you that your period is about to start, when you're going to ovulate, it reminds you to buy supplies, it can remind you to do a breast self exam, as well as other reminders. It also tells you what day your next period is due, calculates the average days of your cycle, you can track your fertility, and a lot of other things - for free.

I have never used anything to track my period before, other than memory. Haha, I think I'll look into it.

I like that page. I used to use it religiously, but somewhere along the way I got too lazy.

I used cyclespage.com for a bit, but I got lazy (or I LET myself get lazy about it) when I started taking birth control. It sounds useful, though. I'd be interested to see how much more normal my periods are now than they were 2 or 3 years ago.

I use fertilityfriend.com -- it's basically for TTC, but since we aren't TTC but I'm not on birth control pills I'm trying to figure out if/when I ovulate, so it's pretty handy.

It's fine if you're trying to conceive or just for general knowledge sake (though I'm at a complete loss as for why I need to remember how heavy or light my period was on any given month and what color it was), but that's highly dangerous for any birth control purposes and should never be used as such.

I wasn't suggesting to use it for birth control purposes, and I don't think the site is suggesting that, either. I think the fertility tracking is for people who are trying to get pregnant.
The noting of how heavy or light your period is could just help you remember if it's normal over the last few months. It's always good to know if it's changed.
