Period & Keeper stuff
Oct. 8th, 2001 11:19 pmToday was horrible, pain-wise. I woke up in excruciating pain and it continued throughout the day. I spent most of the morning doubled over, gasping for breath, until my vicoden kicked in.
I took 250mg of vicoden once I got to work, and at first I was ok as long as I took another 250 every 4 hours or so. Then a little after 3pm, that wasn't enough. I ended up taking another 250. It eventually worked, but I was terrified. WHat if the meds stop working? What will I do then? I am so frightened of that possibility.
I got very nauseated around 5:30pm, I think it had to do with sleep deprivation. I came home and took a 4 hour nap.
The Keeper was great! I wore it all day at work. It takes a little longer to work with than does a tampon, but it is worth it. Last night, I thought I must be having some leakage, because every time I removed the Keeper, it had blood and tissue on the outside of the cup. But today I wore a thong and a pantiliner, just in case, and had NO leakage. None at all.
The tab is still occasionally owie. I am going to write the Keeper people to ask if perhaps coating it with liquid latex or silicone gel will be safe and helpful, or if they have any other suggestions.
The only weird thing is that when I awoke from my nap, the Keeper had slipped way up inside me. I had a bit of a time getting it out. I might avoid wearing it to sleep in.
