Mar. 5th, 2006 02:13 amHi everyone. :)
I was taking the pill (microgynan) for a few months, but it really wasn't agreeing with me so I decided that it was better to just deal with period pain instead of chronic pms. Normally I would have stuck it out for longer but I couldn't deal with feeling so angry/depressed all the time. I stopped taking it at the beginning of January, and I've still had no period. There's no way that I'm pregnant, and I'm glad to say that I feel a lot happier. I'm just worried by the fact that I haven't had a period yet. Should I be? I was going to go and see my Doctor, but he's usually quite dismissive of me being worried about things like this.
I should probably mention that I was severely anaemic at one point, and have to take three iron tablets a day. It's been a while since I had a blood test, so maybe it could be that. Not sure really.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Edit- Also, there have been many times when I've had pre period pains and felt as though I was about to come on, but nothing. Other things too like getting spots on my chin (usually a sign that I'm due) yet nothing at all.
Thanks

Date: 2006-03-05 06:36 pm (UTC)Anywayz, Microgynon never worked for me & I consulted my Doc & was changed to Cilest. All pills take a while getting used to but some people are more sensitive than others. Both my pills took at least 4 months for me to get used to them, I felt funny for ages! My boyfriend & I had too many arguments, etc during that time.
Sometimes, to answer your question - when your body is going through a change and you stop it abruptly it takes a while for things to get back to normal. If you're sure you haven't done anything to make you pregnant, don't worry. Your period will come.
Take care x
