Anal pain? Endometriosis?
Mar. 12th, 2006 09:27 pmQuick background on my menstrual cycle:
Preteen: Fine, average
High school: Was anorexic, lost my period for about two years.
College/married: Period came back, but much heavier flow at first part of cycle. I started to use a menstrual cup.
I was a part of the menstrual cup community for a time and I've heard some people concerned that using the cup may cause endomentriosis.
Since I've been having periods again for about four years I have noticed a change. I have been having severe pains, but they are in the anal/lower back region. I have them on my period. I've had them when not on my period. They are crippling painful. I can not move. They tend to last from 5 to 15 seconds.
I have stopped using the cup and this pain has decreased some. (I am back to pads.)
Has anyone experienced some of this?
I have read some on endometriosis, but also know it is hard to diagnose.
I plan to get a professional opinion soon, too.
Thanks for the open ears.
