I bought a box of Instead, the disposable menstrual cups you can get at most drug stores. I thought I would give it a try because I would like to move away from tampons (so sick of dry cotton). If this works out, I'll switch to a reusable method. I do have concerns about the plastic ring business, because my only experience with a female condom was a disaster for all involved. Does anyone have some advise about this?

Date: 2006-03-21 03:38 am (UTC)I've been using the Instead cups for a couple years and I LOVE them. I have converted many women to them. I have a tilted uterus and while insertion and removal can be a little tricky, I have never really had a problem with them. I love that I can have clean sex on my period. I have a diaprhagm tho and since they sit exactly the same way, its never been a concern for me for insertion.
