Vitamins

I was wondering if anyone could reccomend a really good womens multi-vitamin (herbal or otherwise... preferably something that doesn't come in the form of a giant horse pill, but I guess now is no time to get picky). I'm thinking that my diet is still not what it should be partially because I don't have time to cook & prepare the best kinds of foods so maybe if I can find a good daily multi-vitamin that will help where my diet is lacking.

I'm also wondering if anyone has had experiences with any certain brands having vitamin or herb combinations that are known to be beneficial to migraine sufferers as well. I've been told "oh take lots of B-complex vitamins and try this herb and that one" but I'm already taking 3-5 perscription pills a day and can't afford to buy a million bottles of different things. I'm basically trying to cover the most bases with the least amount of extra pills each day.

Thanks.

Hey

I was just going to suggest, if horse pills are a problem, to swallow them as you are swallowing a bite of say bread or a a cracker. I have trouble even swallowing the littlest pills (like Gravol) and it always works for me.

you can always try a women's one-a-day or a similar generic.

No idea on the vitamin thing. I hadn't taken any until I got pregnant & now I have the Target brand prenates. Big, but oval shaped. As for the migraine herbs. I had been taking white willow & feverfew. It worked better than anything else for me. Birch bark is supposed to be a better pain killer than the willow, but I'm not able to take it. I don't know of any vitamin supplement that has those ingredients in it. I'd suggest GNC or some similar place to look for it.

I don't know if this will help you, but I get menstrual migraines. They are hell. I started taking this.. http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2133891&cp=2108072.2166721.2167362.2166427&parentPage=family . Since then, those migraines have mostly gone away or been reduced to a run-of-the-mill headache. The months when i have forgotten to take them I can really tell!!! Just something to think about.
