i have a real quick birth control question.

i've been taken Aviane for 3 months now, with no problems whatsoever. however, i started having some light spotting today, and am kinda worried. i know spotting and breakthrough bleeding are normal in the first 3 months, but to have it start now, after 3 months of NO problems, has me concerned. any advice/thoughts??? thanks.

did you miss any pills or take any late? i wouldn't worry right away but, if it happens again or bothers you talk to your doctor.

It's nothing to be concerned about, unless it's persistent. Bodies are imperfect. There's no law that says you can only get BTB your first 3 months, it's just more common.

Have you been sick or stressed? On any new medication?

nope...no more stress than that which is common of new mothers(i have a 4 month old son)

and no i'm not on any new meds.

Those are the most obvious explanations. There doesn't have to be an obvious explanation. If it gets worse in the coming months it's worth a call to your doctor, until then, it's just a little spotting.
