Ok, so I'm on the generic of Micronor - Errin. Have been since October. Did the whole breakthrough bleeding during the first three months and then a few episodes when I take a pill late.

The week of Easter was intensely stressful for me and I had my first real period in months. Keep in mind that I don't get a period ever and I don't get one while on this pill. Bleeding was heavy, clots were numerous and large. No pain. I called my GYN on Friday, April 21 to make sure that I shouldn't be overly concerned about it. She told me to take a pregnancy test to completely rule out the possibility of anything serious. And went on to tell me that it is more than likely a normal period. Um. When I wasn't getting anything in the past how many months?

Anyhow, the bleeding finally slowed and stopped.

This afternoon I noticed some of that brownish breakthrough bleeding, but it was so little, I didn't think anything more of it. I used a tampon and that was the end of it. Well, I just went to change and I'm bleeding again.

I did have sex for the first time in a month on Sunday. I don't recall taking my pill late within the last two weeks, so, um. Yea.

Life is still horribly stressful, so I'm trying to chalk it up to that. Anything else it could be? It's weird to be bleeding at all when I haven't with this pill.

cross posted..

I apologize for having no helping information for you. I just wanted to ask you about the pill you are on. My doctor prescribed it for me b/c I have migraines on the combo pill. I was prescribed Nor-QD which is the same as Ortho-Micronor, I believe (norethindrone 0.35 mg.) I already have weird periods, spotting for 5 days, bleeding heavily for 3 or 4 then spotting for 4 more days. Isn't that what this pill does to you consistantly? I'm very hesitant to try it b/c I already have scanty periods!

Has your pill made you depressed? That is what I worry about most. When I got on the pill before, I was totally ready to leave my finace. I was miserable and couldn't understand why. I quit the pill and voila! I was normal again. ARRRGHHH!! I guess it's a lose/lose situation for me!

No, I haven't had any depression issues while on the pill - and I am susceptible to it. I really haven't had any negative side effects until all this crazy bleeding started.

Everyone is going to react differently, so you just have to give your body some time to adjust to the pill. If it's not for you, you'll know it. :)
