May. 28th, 2006 05:10 pmJust a moan...
Don't you hate your period being late? And no, there's no risk I'm pregnant - it's probably because I'm recovering from glandular fever (mono) and it's put my system out of whack. Not that being sick has ever made me have my period late before, but that seems the most likely cause. I just want it to start up and then I'll get it over with! Now, I would like a longer cycle generally, but it's not the same if every day you're expecting it to start. Boooooo.
(Although, of course, it's not as irritating as starting your period early and getting caught out. I tend to carry something around with me a day or two before just in case - but I have been caught out before. Now that's a pain. It did create a funny story for me though - I was in Spain in a smallish town, and I needed some sanitary towels but also felt really ill, so my lovely boyfriend went off to a chemist, and by means of a phrase book and hand waving managed to explain what he meant. At first the pharmacist was confused by what he meant as I think the word for sanitary towel in Spanish can mean a couple of things, but then he realised - "para senora? Ahhhhh.")

Date: 2006-05-28 06:26 pm (UTC)It probably is the mono delaying your period: I had mono many years ago and as I recall it messed up a lot of things in my body. It's horrible! I hope you're well soon.
