i checked the memories &&
i couldnt find anything about it.

i plan to go to the doctors soon
about this, i'm just a little nervous...

i have serve anxiety disorders,
so please bare with me if i sound like i'm over-reacting
about a little thing.

it's about my period...
it's been late for a week.
i don't think i'm pregnant because i'm still a virgin.
i usually get my period every 28 days.
i turned 21 last month && my period was late last month.
i usually get my period on the 23rd.

of course, it crossed my mind that anxiety has played a part.
but i'm more worried about health issues especially since my
always came on time until last month. should i be worried?
i did loose some weight && my sleep pattern has been messed
up if that helps. i just need some words to calm me down.
thanks so much.

It's not unusual for a period to skip out if you're under a lot of stress, or if you've changed your diet dramatically. Dramatic weight loss can also affect it. Have you lost a lot of weight in a short period of time?

Chances are it's nothing serious, but if you're really worried about it, I'd say visit with your doctor.

How did you lose those 5-8 pounds?
If you have a low amount of fat in your diet, especially if you have been excercising as well, your body can react by ceasing to ovulate. It's an evolutionary mechanism going back to periods of famine--if the woman isn't getting enough fat/calories, the body will decide it's not a good time to have a baby. Thus, periods will stop. This isn't really a good thing because when you're not getting your period regularly, your body has a decreased ability to absorb calcium, which can lead to osteoperosis later in life.
Talk to an OBGYN or a doctor soon, and meanwhile, consider taking calcium supplements. If this is in fact the situation, they should be able to clear it up quickly with either diet changes or a BCP prescription (BC hormones regulate periods).

If your anxiety is bad enough to disrupt your daily life you should really see a doctor. Also, birth control can regulate your periods if that is something that causes you stress on a monthly basis. Periods are so difficult. It's like anything you do or think will make you irregular, at least that's what it feels like.

I'd say there's not much to worry about, but of course go to a doctor if you're wanting official confirmation. My period gets weird when I get stressed or lose sleep, and it also gets off schedule every time we move. If you lost weight that's another reason it might be late or skipped. It's very likely not serious at all.

anxiety + weight loss can affect your period.
