I'm new here...

So recently, I got a prescription for Desogen. It's the birth Control my doctor prescribed for me. Has anyone ever taken it? If so... did you have problems with it?

Just wondering..

Birth control in the past has made me quite the weepy bitch...

I was put on Desogen roughly six months ago. The only problem that I really had was that I would get moderately painful cramps at the same time everyday for two months straight. Other than that, it's been okay.

I was on Desogen on and off for about 3 years I think. I hated it. I couldn't lose any weight, had almost no interest in sex and just didn't feel as great as I did off of it. The upside is that my periods were mild (tho that wasnt really a problem before I was on it) and I never got pregnant while on it ;)

i was on desogen for a couple months before switching to orthotrycyclen. i had the same side effects with both--mild nausea. however, i switched from desogen because it didn't do what i was prescribed it for--decrease severe cramping during menstruation and ovulation, and even out some of the bad PMS mood stuff. ortho-t-cyc. did much better there for me, but everyone's different....

Thank you :) I'm actually hearing some good things about OTC.. I may switch up after a few months.. but I haven't tried Desogen yet and it's supposed to do some good things for my heavy bleeding..
