Hi. I'm new to the community, and I have my first question. I am taking Ortho Tricyclen Lo. I took it today, but then I threw up, like 10-15 minutes after taking it. I saw a little tiny blue speck, and I was wondering what it was, and have now realized that it was the coating on my pill... I think. Should I take another one and then adjust my schedule by a day? Meaning: I start packs on Sundays, so now if I take another one today, and take one daily until my cycle is over, I would start a new pack on a Saturday now instead of a Sunday.

I am sexually active, and allergic to latex, and vegan, which rules out using condoms as a backup method for me.

I'd call the gynie, but they are closed on Sundays.

Has anyone had this problem before? Help will be GREATLY appreciated!

I don't know. I could check those out, but I'm moreso interested in what to do about the pill. I have to figure out if I should take another one today or not.

if you puked it up, you aren't protected. taking another one would leave you short at the end of your cycle. Call your doctor or ask your pharmacist.

Good idea. I didn't think they would know... but I called, and they said to take another one now, and the next one tomorrow, etc. and just adjust my schedule by one day.

They work fine for me and my partner. I honestly don't know how they price compare to latex ones, since I've only ever used poly ones...
