Skipped Period
Sep. 9th, 2006 08:37 pmI checked the memories for missed period entries, but they didn't seem to answer my question. I just want to know, what are the reasons aside from stress, pregnancy, diet, or vacation that can cause a period to never happen? I have skipped this past week, and it baffles me.
I have taken the same hormonal birth control for four years (kariva), and this week I skipped my period while on the no-pill week (I don't bother with the placebos..after four years..I never forget). I know it's not stress, as life has been just as normal as ever lately. Also, nothing like this has ever happened while on the bc. For four years, I have *always* started on Thursday of the off-week..always. In addition, I am also a typical 95% (heh) sure I am not pregnant. I always take the pill at the same time, and I haven't even had sex for the past two week since I have been on antibiotics. (If anyone could ever achieve perfect use, then I definitely have.)

Date: 2006-09-10 02:35 pm (UTC)I don't know if you had the same horrible side effects I did while on the flagyl, but I wouldn't put it past that drug to be able to throw your cycle off track.

Date: 2006-09-10 06:21 pm (UTC)When I googled the side effects (under the generic name) I couldn't BELIEVE how many there were and how severe they are too.
I will never just blindly take an antibiotic again. It's amazing how much damage can be done to a woman's body in the name of trying to heal it.
I'm glad you feel better, and I'm also glad to help spread the word about Flagyl.
