ok i have been on bc for over 2 years now and have always gotten my period on time.  as of last night ive had the cramps and ive been spotting and im not suppose to get my period for another week.  should i be worried? and if i actually get my period this week should i still take the pill? i have a gyno appointment this week but may have to cancel if i do actually get it.  any thought?

Have you been taking the pill late or even missing? That would be reason #1 for spotting. If I were you I'd continue taking the pill, if you don't it will get everything all out of wack. Even though it might make you uncomfortable, you can still get paps and the like when on your period.

My doctor says being on your period and getting your paps is bad because your period can mess with the results. *shrug*
