cramps

it's been three days since I've ended my period. My right side hurts, inside, not my vagina but inside. I'm really really worried I wanna know what it could be. HELP!

Ovulation, maybe?

...sounds a bit early for ovulation. Me being paranoid, here are a few questions:

1. was there even the teeniest chance that it might have been a miscarriage, not a period?

2. do you have a history of menstrual pain? it might be an extension of whatever caused that...

3. if it's sudden, acute pain, (very bad, sudden) it could be a cyst, or something wonderful like that...

4. do you have an appendix? this isn't necessarily related to your uterus, etc.. but if it's simply abdominal pain it could be anything from appendicitis to a clogged gut. (or a bad case of gas)...and yes, those can all "refer" pain to the uterine area so it feels like it's coming from there...

if it isn't *severe* (worse than bad cramps), i'd take ibuprofen or the OTC analgesic of your choice, heating pads, and take it easy for a day or so and see if it eases up, then see a doc if it doesn't. If, however, it is (or becomes) severe, see a doctor PRONTO! Hope you feel better!

*grin* well, that rules out a few things... but if you're not feeling better by now i'd recommend going to see a doc.. hopefully everything's fine so it's not an issue anymore, though! :)
