Hello, I'm new.  I looked in the memories but I didn't find the answers to my question so here you go:

Does anyone have any experience with these reusable baby-sock tampons?  I found the link in the memories of [community profile] vaginapagina, but I wasn't sure if anyone had tried it:

Also, I just found out about these Beppy Action tampons - they're like sea sponge tampons, only synthetic, and they're single-use.  You can use them during intercourse (I'm weaning myself off of Insteads because I'm getting an IUD soon).  They're a similar concept to those Gynotex tampons, but those aren't available in the US.  Has anyone seen these in the US, or know of a company that ships them to the US?:

Thanks in advance.

Have you thought of a menstrual cup (http://www.thekeeper.com/)? I have an IUD, and I've been using a menstrual cup for two years. I wouldn't go back either to tampons (resuable, natural, or otherwise) or pads (ditto) for all the tea in china.

I started using a menstrual cup right after I had my IUD put in, and there has never been a problem. The cup sits much, much lower in your vagina...nowhere near your cervix, and there isn't enough suction to "suck out the IUD". The Diva Cup (http://www.divacup.com/) is made of silicon and is much more flexible, and causes much less suction than the cups made of gum rubber (The Keeper). I think you'd be fine using a cup with your IUD. Like I said, I use both (and I can feel the IUD's strings, too), and have never had a problem. The cup never touches the strings; it sits far down where your muscles hold it in place.

This is just a personal opinion.. but I can't understand why anyone would wear a tampon during sex. It's not like menstrual blood is penis-acid (though quite a few guys act like it is). Seems like a waste of natural lubricant to me...

i don't mind the sight of it (which is what turns some guys off i guess), my issue is that it makes me itch terribly if it gets on my vulva/legs, which isn't so conducive to enjoying sex, hehe. my current boyfriend doesn't mind the sight/feel of it either, but i've been with quite a few who do. i think it's an evolutionary impulse about blood/fertility/etc.
