brown spotting

not sure where else to ask this but

I had my past period Jan 15th. I am on Birth control (Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo) about 5 months now. The first and third month i spotted due to adjusting. I forgot the first two pills after the placebos and i had unprotected sex after i remembered to take them on time since. I also had UTI in that time and took care of it. I saw brown spotting like, a dime size yesterday and about 2x that today. kinda freaking out. My body is sensitive to stress which is why i am on BC. I dont feel sick or anything right now. Is it possible to be pregnant? I wont know til Feb 15th or so if i get my period then.

Your protection was compromised and while it was early in your cycle it is entirely possible to get pregnant. Sperm can live in your body for up to 7 days. If you are not pregnant next time this happens you should go get Plan B and you have up to 120 hours to take it after the incident.

My rule of thumb is that there's always a chance of pregnancy. I mean, even if you take your birth control correctly every day you can still get pregnant.

Thirding the recommendation for the use of EC if this ever happens again. Also, maybe setting a watch or something to go off every night to remind you to take your BC on time, everyday.
