Help!

God this is taking forever! I started around the 10th of October and its still not gone. I think maybe its cuz I started out really slow, my flow hasn't been heavy though, thats always good but I think thats also a factor. Does anyone know if having sex can have an effect on your period? I mean like I hadn't had sex since June and I had sex the Saturday before I started, if anyone knows or if you just think that I've been misinformed please give me some advice. Thanx

if it's not normal for your periods to be this long, i'd get to a gyno if i were you... 12 days is a lot. it might be a signal of some underlying issue that needs to be looked at... or, alternately, it could just mean your hormones are being strange (i've had that happen) but it would probably be good to rule out anything more serious. Particularly if it doesn't stop in the next day or two...

my cousin started having really long periods, having them for many days, than a few days without, and then it'd start all over again. she went to the doctor and got put on the pill to regulate them.

I know that for me, a really good orgasm can start my flow, or make it heavier.

I recently posted about the same problem, I finally stopped after being on it for 14 days. I haven't been to see anyone yet though but I would recommend going just as others here are telling you. Hope it's just hormones but you won't know till you get checked.

i've noticed that i could have my period and be bleeding lightly but if i fool around with my boyfriend, the flow becomes heavier.
