I'm expecting my period tomorrow, and I have a brand-new Keeper that I'll be using for the first time. Would you put it in before your period and wait for it to happen (it's pretty regular for me - I'm on birth control and apparently have a predictable body) because it's not just stuffing you up like a tampon, or wait for that first squirt and then put it in?

Thanks!

I usually put my divacup in the morning I expect my period to start. Since there's very little risk of TSS and it doesn't need to be filled to be taken out, even if my period doesn't start that day it's no big deal.

Good luck! If it's your first time trying it out, I'd recommend wearing a pad or pantiliner until you get the hang of it, as there's a bit of a learning curve.

You can pop it in at any time- that's the best thing about it! You can be prepared. You'll love it. I've just had to buy another one- I've had it absolutely years- and I wouldn't consider not having one!

have you seen the community menstrual_cups ? there's LOTS of info there about using cups that might be useful if you have more questions in the future! I have a diva cup, and back when I knew my period was coming, I'd usually try to put it in ahead of time and not be taken by surprise, when I remembered. Like everyone says, you can put it in ahead of time, and you'll be fine. also, sorry if this is pretty late, but i wanted to tell you about that community!
