Owww

I took a shower this morning and shaved and went about my buisness, and now there is a very sore swollen lump in between my armpit and my girly bump. It really hurts and now I'm all worried and stuff, even though I know that if it was anything really bad it wouldn't have formed within two hours and started hurting intensly if it was anything serious. It's prolly just a pulled muscle or an ingrown hair, or swollen limph node (sp?).

Anyone have any really reassuring words, i'm both worried and in pain, trying not to move my leftarm too much because is presses the bump and it really hurts

Obviously I can't diagnose you over the internet. I can tell you that I remember this happened to my sister years ago and IIRC it was just a swollen lymph node. Give it a couple of days and see what happens - if it doesn't get better or gets worse, see your doctor.

It's more than likely swollen lymph. I had it myself just last week and it's turns out I was exposed to a cold ( which my husband got but I didn't). Take some extra vitamin c and if it doesn't clear up in a few days, see a Dr.

I second (third?) what everyone else has to say, and would also suggest hotpacking it. And definitely see a doctor if it doesn't get better.

I had the same thing before - it was a huge, gumball-sized bump in my armpit that totally hurt. It developed after I used a new deodorant. I was worried because I already have lymph nodes that I can feel there, and this was a bigger one. Doctor told me it was a sebaceous skin infection from shaving, nothing serious. Put hot compresses on it and if it does not go away soon, see a doctor.

Hopefully its nothing and will go away. It looks like that is common. I also had a swollen lymph once and it went away on its own with no issue. On the other hand, an aunt got it and ended up needing surgery to remove her lymphs in one arm pit when it got out of control. She told me that it was because of using antiperspirant. I hope that helps at all.
