Question...rather silly, actually..

When you track your cycle..do you count the days from the first day you actually have flow or the last day that you have it? I'm slightly in the dark and have NEVER been able to do it right..

As far as medical questions, figuring out ovulation, etc. go, the first day of your cycle is the day you start bleeding.

Always count the from the first day of your period (the day it starts)...this is Day 1 of your cycle. Here's an excerpt from a text regarding how this would look if you charted it out.

Day 1: Period Starts
Day 5: Period Stops
Day 14: Ovulation
Day 27: Day before period

This would represent a 28 day cycle...
