a quick question

So here's my little story. I've been on the Pill for around three years now, and the only problem I've ever had with it is a decrease in sex drive, I've never even missed a Pill, but this week I've been getting some spotting. I originally thought it was a period, but it's not. It's just little bits of blood at irregular times during the day and night. I get a sort of little stomach cramp, go and check and there's some blood there, and the amount is more and more each time. I've never had any spotting before, so I'm just wondering if, after three years and no problems, it's "normal" (in anyone's opinion) or if anyone thinks I should get to the doctor to check it out? It's freaking me out a little bit and I just want to know if anyone has anything similar going on.  I don't want to freak out too much but I am kind of thinking that there might be something going on...

is it during your placebo week or while you're on the active pills? if during your placebo week, i wouldnt worry too much, but if it's spotting then it might be worth seeing your doctor.

how long has this been happening? are you under any new stress? change in medication/exercise/diet etc?

this is the first time it's ever happened, in three years, so that would be why I'm freaking out over it. The only stress I can think of is trouble with my boyfriend's family and issues like that, but they've happened before and I've been way more stressed than this time so it doesn't really make sense

if this is the first problem in three years, i would at least call your doctor and see what he/she thinks; see if you need to make an appt, etc.

If this is the first time it's happened, I wouldn't worry about it. If it keeps happening, it's worth talking to your doctor. Sometimes you just "outgrow" a brand for no reason.

I have an appointment for next week to check it out. It's been a week now, or maybe over, and it's still happening so I am starting to get a little worried...hopefully all is well in that region...fingers crossed.
