Has anyone had a similar situation?  I was very stressed out and busy last month and as a result I only had a minimal period (i.e. basically only spotting, no new red blood) and it lasted only a couple days, which is really unusual for me.  Usually my cycles are around 35-36 days and the period lasts 6-7 days.  29 days after that "period" I started spotting for several days and finally had a regular period, except it was really heavy this time.  It's been going on over two weeks now, and has finally slowed down a little but shows no signs of going away.  I don't have any cramps or pain but I have no idea why this is lasting so long, and it's driving me crazy.  I took a pregnancy test two weeks after last month's weird period and it was negative, but as I have my period forever now, I guess that's a moot point.  Is my body just making up for last month's vacation?  Will it ever end?

I had one that lasted about a month and a half after I attempted to skip it... mine didn't stop until the doctor proscribed me a double dose of bc. (I was on a low hormone variety so she just doubled that one...)

I had that problem after a very stressful year, 3 months at a time usualy. The doc put me on POP and that stopped it but for me it only really stopped when I addressed the problems at hand. Its only getting back to normal now.

All I can suggest is Go to the doctor if this has never happened before or if it get painful.

Hey. I'm having a similar spotting problem but I'm on the Pill and don't get a period very often at all so I'm just spotting for no reason. So really what's going on with me has nothing to do with you. If anything I know how confusing it is to have your body all screwed up like that.

I think that the only thing you can do is head off to see your doctor or gyno or whichever you go to. I really doubt that spotting is normal when it goes for over two weeks. It sounds like you really are worried about it so it would be best just to go and check it out. It might be nothing and it might just stop all on it's own, but you never know.
