OK....I have a question about what day to start counting from. I started lightly spotting on September 30.....and got my full flow on October 2. Do I start counting from the day I started the lightly spotting or when I got the full flow of my period? I am wondering because by either date, my period is late and I am trying to figure out when I ovulated to know if there is a chance that I am pregnant.

i'd count from spotting, but i'd also take a pregnancy test rather than do the maths :)

I agree - counting cycle days to figure out when you ovulated is an imperfect science at best if you don't chart.

The fertility friend and Ovusoft software start when you get full flow. If you just mark it as spotting, then it doesn't count as the start of a period.

If you are getting a full period, you are not pregnant. And be careful with counting days, not everyone ovulates at the same time.

The problem is that you ovulate about two weeks before your next period. If you've got basically regular cycles, you can guesstimate based on past experience, but you're just guessing really.

If you had unprotected or less than protected sex, you can take a home pregnancy test two weeks after you had sex or once your period is late, but I'd give your period a week to show up.
