alright so as far as my background goes, i'm 17, sexually active, & have been getting my period since i was 10.

i come to you ladies with a problem. ever since my period first started i've had VERY intense cramps, back pain, stomach problems etc. i mean pain bad enough to leave me pretty much immobile & crying in a fetal position. besides the constant cramps, i've been getting sharp, quick pains that feel like they're at the bottom of my cervix (i really can't be sure, though hahah) it almost feels like when you put a tampon in but not far enough, or something similar, except the pains come on & off & like i said are very sharp. i feel it most when i sit down, like something is pressing or stabbing. like there's lots of pressure in that area. haha sometimes when i feel it i jump because it's so strong it surprises me. using the bathroom is very painful, too, whenever i have my period. i also gain a LOT of weight before my period. recently my period has become kind of irregular; it's been coming either a lot later or earlier than i expect it. it's so odd. i'm soo tired of this, i'm sure you have some idea -_-

You should go see your gyno; they'll probably be able to help you out with the pain.

Ugh, I sympathize, especially with the pain part. I've broken bones and not even winced, but when my period comes around, I turn into a big sissy.

Lessee... I agree with Vash up there most definitely, if anything to see if you don't have a fibroid problem, but for a quick release until you can get that appointment, what I do is take a bag of pinto beans and put them in the microwave. Then I lay down on the floor, on my back, with enough pillows under my legs so that they're curled up towards my chest a bit, and under my neck so I can read or watch tv. The heating pad going, of course, wherever it hurts.

This is tmi, but you mentioned that it hurts going to the bathroom too. Maybe try eating softer foods around your period? That way it isn't so much of a struggle to get it all out, so to speak >_o

Anyway, feel better!
