I'm holding off going to see a doctor over this until I have insurance (which should be in a few weeks). What causes premenstrual bleeding? This was never a problem until I went off from hormonal bc this summer. Since then I've been having periods that last well over a week. And now after a two week period I am spotting again. I've been looking stuff up online and every site I've seen talks about the consistancy being brown and thick. Mine is thin and red just like my periods usually are. I took a hormonal test a few years ago that showed that I had abnormally low prgesterone levels. Do you think that going off hormonal bc made them drop even further causing this?
What are some things I can do in the mean time to give me more energy and lessen my migraines? Besides resting, that won't be an option until after I finish my finals.

It's likely something to do with going off the B.C.. It takes our body a few months to adjust and go back to normal. When I was on Seasonale, I did nothing but bleed, like everyday.. And it lasted for awhile when I got off of it too. I suppose it's just a waiting game unless you got on something else to try & regulate it. If it lasts a whole lot longer though, I'd definitely see a doctor.
